How to sew elastic fabrics with a computerized sewing machine

Computerized sewing machine, As the name suggests, is an automated machine used to sew various fabrics. However, based on years of experience, under normal circumstances, when it is sewing fabrics with greater elasticity, various problems will occur, resulting in poor sewing effects and poor quality. So, how to solve the problems that arise when the computerized sewing machine is sewing elastic fabrics? There are two specific methods:

One is that the upper thread uses ordinary suture, and the bottom thread uses nylon thread. When ordinary computerized sewing machines are sewing elastic fabrics, the thickness of the needle can be selected according to the thickness of the material: for thick materials, such as sportswear flannel, you can use common sewing machine needles; for thin materials, such as autumn clothes, you need Choose fine sewing machine needles. In addition, the presser foot of the sewing machine should be adjusted according to the thickness and elasticity of the material. The fabric is elastic, the presser foot can be adjusted higher, and the stitch size is smaller. The stitches of elastic fabrics can be sewn according to the size of the finished stitches of similar fabrics, especially the open stitches, which can greatly improve the quality of handwork. For the sewing thread of elastic fabric, the upper thread adopts ordinary sewing thread, and the bottom thread can choose two strands of elastic nylon thread, that is, nylon thread for silk mesh. Because this thread can adapt to the elasticity of the fabric, it prevents the finished product sewn by the computerized sewing machine from breaking after wearing it.

The second is to replace the plastic presser foot with a normal thread for the upper thread and the bottom thread. When sewing on a computerized sewing machine, support the back of the presser foot with your index finger. First, use plastic presser feet. The contact surface between the presser foot and the cloth is very smooth, the fabric will not be stretched, and any fabric under the presser foot is very neat. Secondly, when sewing on a computerized sewing machine, adjust the stitch size to make sure that the bottom thread and the upper thread are not tight; in addition, when driving, put your right index finger on the fabric behind the presser foot, so that the fabric will go slower , There will be more stitches on the same length, so there is flexibility.
